What a lovely spring summer season for the garden and roses. Late to flower the roses have been fantastic providing beautiful colour and scent. Mid November there was a smattering of roses out but by the end of the month all in full bloom and I would say two weeks later than normal.
Garden groups and visitors to the garden have been plentiful and it has been lovely for both myself and Stephen to engage with the visitors.
I intend late summer to plant an avenue of iris they do very well here and the strength of colour really lifts the garden after bulbs have flowered and just prior to the roses.
Through trial and error we are now really starting to lift the garden design to the next level and we are both pretty excited how things are coming together. The wild grass maze is improving each year as you enter the Gallery space and it has become a perfect show spot for sculptural works by the various artists we exhibit here at Blenheim.
We are already taking bookings from interstate tour companies for groups for our 2020 seasons with a focus on both garden and art gallery.
