Chee Yong - New Works

Blenheim Gallery will be very pleased to exhibit Chee Yong with recent works undertaken during 2025

Chee is an interdisciplinary visual artist currently interested in the ambiguities of mark making in abstract and representative paintings. His interest in the landscape in an abstracted way with strata layers of rock faces and intriguing crevices one might find when walking in the Tasmanian landscape are suggestive in Chee’s recent works.

As recognition to his artmaking Chee has been included as a finalist in many art prize exhibitions including the interstate Wynne Prize, S.H. Ervin Refuse exhibition 2024, Tidal Exhibition Paranaple Art Gallery, Devonport, Glover Art Prize 2025, Bay of Fires Art Prize, and the Hadley Art Prize.
