Geoff Farquhar - Still “Chromatic Landscape”
Having completed a commission through Arts Tasmania for the Bridgewater Police Station in 2025 Geoff Farquhar-Still is continuing to work on a reoccurring theme in his work.
“Chromatic Landscape” is an exploration of colour and light. connected to the theme of the commissioned earlier work, which emphasizes the use of a rich or unexpected color palette to explore how light changes perception of a scene, moving beyond literal representation to capture the emotional or energetic quality of a landscape and environment whether built or natural.
This ongoing investigation into the interplay between colour and light allows Farquhar-Still to push the boundaries of traditional landscape art. By focusing on the shifting qualities of illumination throughout the day and across the seasons, he invites viewers to experience familiar environments in new and unexpected ways.
“Chromatic Landscape” exhibition will be held in the Sculpture Garden at Blenheim Gallery until the 28 May 2026.
