“Kim Lehman : works at Utas Inveresk”

As part of the 2024 Academy Gallery University of Tasmania Pop Up Exhibition Program curated by Academy Gallery Director Dr Malcom Bywaters, Kim Lehman has a number of works showing on the Inveresk campus of the University of Tasmania.

Britain: There and Back

This exhibition of is a collection of 15 black and white images of memorable places Kim has visited in the United Kingdom taken from his artist’s book (available from Blenheim Gallery and Petrarch’s Bookshop). To quote Dr Malcom Bywaters: “The photographs give an insight to the artist as reflective image maker working in an unknown landscape, that over time has become more and more physically and conceptually familiar.”

Venue: Level 4, UTAS Rivers Edge building, Inveresk

The Collective State of Being – 2014 to 2023

This series showcases Kim’s video artworks. He has long been a proponent of the potentialities of new media and these videos display his established and continuing interest in the moving image as an artform. A new video every three weeks and showing to June 2024.

Venue: UTAS Library building, Ground Floor, Inveresk

Hours: 9am to 5 pm – Mon to Fri.

 

Tales from Hyperreality

A continually changing photomontage work from the Tales from Hyperreality series originally exhibited at Sawtooth in 2016.
