KATE BERGIN

Kate Bergin graduated from the Victorian College of the Arts in 1992 and since then has pursued painting in the still life genre.

Her time in Far North Queensland in the mid to late 1990’s working at an

environmental education centre and then returning to Melbourne to work

in a university psychology department along with frequent travels around

the world in search of exotic birds and animals has provided her with a

rich diversity of experiences that continues to inform her painting

practice.

After living for 12 years in the Noosa hinterland with her husband and

their two sons and a 2 year sojourn on Hope Island she and her family

have recently moved to South Australia. Kate is now finding inspiration

living on a city fringe at the base of the Adelaide Hills where she

continues to balance Art and Life in her domestic jungle.

The Proposition, Hand signed & editioned by the artist, printed on archival 308 gsm Hahnemühle German rag paper.
