Edna was born in Melbourne and has been an exhibiting artist for over four decades using a variety of mediums and has exhibited throughout Tasmania, interstate and overseas in solo and group exhibitions.

She studied printmaking at TAFE during1979-81 and is a graduate of the University of Tasmania gaining a Masters Degree (MFA) and a PhD in 2005.

Edna is a full time artist and works from her home studio in Invermay, northern Tasmania. Her paintings, prints and mixed media work respond the natural environment, particularly the coastal and wetlands areas of Tasmania, often alternating between realism and abstraction in narrative form.

She has work in the collections of the Queen Victoria Museum, Launceston General Hospital, ANL Melbourne, and private collections in Tasmania, interstate and overseas
