Alison Aplin - Colour binds the genres

Alison Aplin has exhibited at Blenheim Gallery previously with a one person exhibition and she has included works in group exhibitions. Her artistic style is deeply rooted in the use of colour, reflecting my background as a design colourist.

Passionate about celebrating imperfection in all of her work, embracing the unique qualities that emerge from each piece. and allowing experimentation as part of the process.

The work is primarily non-figurative abstract and colour vibrant, but Alison likes to include figurative still life elements and landscapes as a visual patchwork. This approach allows viewers to engage their own imagination and interpret what they wish to see.

I do not set out with the intention of representing specific objects or scenes; instead, my focus is on appreciating the interplay of colours, shapes, balance, and overall composition in each piece.
