David Marsden - “Lost Jetty and other oddities”

Recent paintings by David Marsden will form part of Blenheim Gallery “Lost Jetty and other oddities” exhibition. The works are dynamic with the use of found materials and colourful paint juxtaposition.

David states : "Each work brings with it memories of the place where they were made, and sometimes even the course of the making such as the little private mistakes and serendipitous moments that bring a piece together.

David studied art in Melbourne and for the last three decades through his own artistic pursuits worked on a unique art practise and been inventive with the use of materials for his paintings. David creates an exciting picture plane which at times can have many levels and dimensions.

His highly successful exhibition with Penny Mason at QVMAG Launceston earlier this year celebrated their artistic life together and these new works have all the energy of some paintings held in the retrospective exhibition.
