David Hamilton’s exciting exhibition flows from his smaller boat metaphor for human experience using cast bronze and aluminium in his sculptures which are accompanied by drawings to the large scale works in the exterior grounds at Blenheim Gallery.

David through his experiences overseas from travels and his residency undertaken at the Cité International des Arts in Paris and his return to his studio on the outskirts of Launceston are stimulus for his work..

Over the last ten years David has exhibited in over 30 curated and juried exhibitions both in Australia and overseas.

David is a major Australian sculptor and he is represented in various university, public, corporate and private collections within Australia and overseas. During this time he has also undertaken a number of major public sculpture commissions in his home state of Tasmania.
