Artist statement:
This painting captures a moment suspended between the dry stillness of summer and the restorative rains of autumn. The vast moody sky, animated by ever-shifting clouds, becomes a metaphor for impermanence and renewal. As rain returns to the land, it revives the fields and my inner self alike.

Wandering a familiar sandy path along the edge of the farm and rugged shoreline, I am drawn to the quiet resilience of the landscape. Lone trees and weathered hedgerows, shaped by the elements, stand as both shelter and memory. Fallen branches mark the passage of time, and yet, amid this slow erosion, there is calm and a quiet invitation to pause, reflect, and accept change.

My work is rooted in personal nostalgia but reaches toward something universal: the beauty found in impermanence, the peace that can be discovered in solitude, and the subtle dialogue between nature and time.

We are excited to announce Brooke's inaugural Tasmanian solo exhibition at Blenheim Gallery, which is scheduled for September this year. This event will be a wonderful opportunity to explore her latest artistic expressions and celebrate her growing career.
