Blenheim Gallery Shapes in Spaces Sculpture Prize and Exhibition 2023 has been installed in the grounds and gallery in preparation for the launch Saturday 25 November at 2pm.

The announcement was made on Saturday as to who were the winners of the $10,000 acquisitive prize and the $1,000 small sculpture prize, which is non acquisitive.

Judges Ashley Bird, Senior Curator QVMAG Arts Royal Park, Launceston and Rebecca Birrell, Director, Birrell Art + Design + Architecture had a difficult task in selecting the prize winners. “Having stated the works were close with a number of contenders for the main prize”, says Rebecca Birrell.

Winner of the major prize was Ben Beames “Flight” and the small sculpture prize was won by Geoff Farquhar - Still with “ All Things Return Once More to Stone”

The Directors of Blenheim Gallery would like to congratulate all participants for their entries and support. There are many wonderful works to be viewed and exciting to see them start to head to new homes on the completion of the exhibition, so do come along and view the show open until 20 December.
