“Botanica” Carlton Cox @ QVMAG

Carlton Cox, Blenheim Gallery artist is a part of QVMAG’s new exhibition Botanica at QVMAG Launceston which explores the unique environments of flora – land and sea - influence life in countless ways: from food and medicines to visual art and design.

The exhibition Botanica is a portal into botany as science, industry, and art. It captures the imagination through its beauty, its history, and its extraordinary properties as humans strive to document and celebrate flora’s beauty and impact.

Carlton Cox has several works in this exhibition which are available for purchase and there are others which compliment the suite of Carlton’s horticultural / botanica works thus far. A horticulturalist by training and as a career he is very knowledgeable on flower form and colour and these delightful linocuts are beautiful.
