A lifelong recycler and environmental champion is one way to describe Anita. Combine this with a strong creative passion and a caring health professional - and you have a formidable force to be reckoned with.

Anita’s art covers many facets - from sculptural to installation art to reusing and repurposing material to make works that are both pleasing to the eye and at times confronting and thought-provoking.

From collecting rubbish from a beach, on an island atoll in the middle of the Indian Ocean during a work placement lead to an installation piece that has images that have been sent around the world…..To static sculptural representations of human figures formed from discarded wire and building materials exhibited in several venues around Tasmania.

Anita aims to raise awareness of the fragile nature of our world, our lives and our impact and interaction on the land and oceans via her works and her often poetic Artist’s statements.

An award-winning sculptor and award finalist in recent years, Anita has works in personal collections in Australia and USA.

Anita in recent times has been working in granite of a monolithic scale and has received a number of commissions both public and private for her work.

2024 finalist in the Women’s Art Prize, Tasmania to be launched at QVMAG Launceston early May.
